U-Boat Worx reveals interior renderings for 38m Nautilus yacht submarine

Netherlands-based builder U-Boat Worx has revealed the interior renderings for the 37.5-metre yacht submarine Nautilus. First unveiled at the Monaco Yacht Show 2022, the 1,250-ton vessel will be able to function as a yacht or a submarine and will have a range of facilities onboard.

Nautilus uses a blend of technology and luxury, with a key focus on comfort. The submarine yacht was created in partnership with world-renowned design firm Officina Armare and portrays a contemporary interior design.

Nautilus offers guests onboard the opportunity to dive up to 150-metres below the surface, surrounded by cutting edge technology and elegant design elements. Her mezzanine observation lounge offers panoramic views of the underwater world, surrounded by sumptuous seating arrangements.

“Nautilus embodies the ultimate combination of luxury and innovation. Our collaboration with Officina Armare has resulted in a truly exceptional vessel,” commented Bert Houtman, CEO of U-Boat Worx. “Our goal has always been to share the wonders of the underwater world with people in the safest, most luxurious and comfortable way possible. Nautilus is the realisation of that vision.”

Nautilus is inspired by Jules Verne’s classic novel, “Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea,” and her main deck lounge provides the perfect opportunity for guests to unwind with a drink and discover this book.

The proposed design for Nautilus includes a master bedroom and four staterooms, as well as sleeping quarters for up to six crew, but the interior layouts are fully customisable for the client. Her stunning master suite includes an ensuite bathroom, as well as bespoke furniture and fittings from Officina Armare.

In terms of amenities, Nautilus is equipped with a state-of-the-art gym complete with a treadmill, a stationary bike and weights. She offers plenty of deck space, with a spacious sun deck equipped with a Jacuzzi, bar and an alfresco dining table. This area is also retractable when the submersible goes below sea level.

Performance-wise, Nautilus uses a diesel-electric propulsion system and lithium battery system to ensure maximum efficiency. As a result of this, Nautilus will be able to cover a range of 3,200 nautical miles.
